Herb Whitesell
Herb Whitesell, CPA, is the Managing Partner of Davidson, Holland, Whitesell & Co., PLLC in Hickory, NC. He is a 1983 graduate of Wake Forest University and has focused most of his 40 year accounting career with health care providers. He has served since 2012 as Executive Director of Rubicon Management, Inc., an Administrative Services Organization designed to assist IDD Providers and their Managed Care Organizations to operate more efficiently and effectively with service authorizations and payment of services. He has also served as Business Operations Manager at Sandhills Center LME/MCO since 2015, helping design, implement and monitor key financial, technological and human resource systems. As a member of the American Institute of CPAs, he has earned specialty badges in 6 areas of Data Analyses and Predictive Concepts. With a passion for data analyses in the IDD managed care spectrum, he has helped pioneer the collection and dissemination of IDD Direct Care Worker wage information that has been successfully used to improve wages for IDD caregivers in North Carolina.
