Committees

Committees

The NC Providers Council’s Executive, Board, and Committee leadership review proposed system changes to assess their impact on provider members and the individuals they serve. NCPC also contracts with Maynard and Associates for lobbying support at the General Assembly.

A key way in which we identify and shape policy priorities is through member committees, which meet monthly or bi‑monthly and are chaired by NCPC Board members and members at large, and supported by CCR Consulting. Standing committees are Regulatory and Business Practices, Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Operational Data Strategies, and Children and Families Specialty Plan.  Standing workgroups are  Tailored Care Management and Iryna’s Law.  All meetings bring together representatives from diverse provider and provider support agencies, and geographic regions of the State.

Members’ broad perspectives help surface critical issues for committee Chairs to elevate to the full Board. The association may then advance these issues to Health Plan leadership, NC DHHS officials, or NCGA members for constructive, solution-oriented advocacy.

This is why NCPC membership—and active committee participation—matters.

We invite you to join the conversations!  As an NCPC member, you can participate in any number of committees and workgroups.  For your convenience, we archive all meeting recordings for 24/7 access on our password-protected member communication Web page.
