Carson Ojamaa

Carson earned a BA in Art History from Davidson College, a post-baccalaureate in K-12 Art Education from UNCA, and a master’s in social work from UNC-Chapel Hill. Twenty-five years ago, Carson started her career in behavioral health as a 1:1 community-based service worker with autistic children. Following her MSW program, Carson became a school-based clinical therapist for middle school-aged youth. Over time, Carson has held roles in supervision, management, and leadership in areas of clinical programs, training, and operations. Today, Carson is the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer for CHA charged with creating more opportunities for youth and their families to heal together in their homes and communities. Carson’s approach to clinical care and leadership are grounded in trauma-informed and strengths-based orientations. Carson, her husband, two cats, and a dog live in Asheville, NC.
