Joy Futrell
Joy Futrell was appointed the CEO of Trillium Health Resources in February 2022. Before that, she served as COO and CFO of Trillium for many years. She has worked in the public managed care space for more than thirty years.
Joy has facilitated comprehensive organizational restructuring. She developed critical third-party subcontractor relationships as required to implement North Carolina’s largest Medicaid reform in 50 years. Trillium Health Resources manages healthcare for people in 46 counties in North Carolina and has grown from a behavioral health care carve-out to a full-service managed care health plan. Joy holds an MBA from East Carolina University.
