Vanessa Ervin
Vanessa Ervin is CEO of Carobell, Inc., a private nonprofit health care provider in Jacksonville, NC that serves individuals statewide. Carobell is licensed by the state of North Carolina to provide residential, medical, and educational services to individuals with cognitive and intellectual disabilities. She has served on the board of the North Carolina Hospital Association; co-chaired the Association’s Taskforce on “Keeping the Public Trust;” has served on various Ad Hoc committees; and recently joined the Healthy NC 2030 Task Force with the NC Institute of Medicine; a true advocate for healthcare. Mrs. Ervin is a Past Chair of the Onslow Memorial Hospital Authority, Past Trustee of the American Hospital Association and currently serves on the North Carolina Hospital Association Foundation Board. In 2021, she was appointed by Governor Cooper to serve as a member of the NC State Health Coordinating Council.
She holds a Masters in Rehabilitation Administration and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. As a John Maxwell Certified Trainer, Ms. Ervin is a sought-after leadership speaker and has made presentations throughout the United States. Ms. Ervin also has been an ordained minister for the past 30 years.
