Christian Immel
Christian Immel, LCMHC, graduated with his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University after receiving his Bachelor’s in Psychology from North Carolina State University. While attending school in Raleigh, he discovered a passion for working with youth with diverse needs after accepting a position working as a paraprofessional serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Throughout his career trajectory, he has maintained a dedication to working with individuals experiencing marginalization or finding themselves on the periphery of society because of neurodiversity or who they are as human beings. Christian currently serves as the Director of Outpatient Services for Children’s Hope Alliance based in Barium Springs, NC, providing oversight to the fiscal, quality assurance and improvement, and regulatory standards of the Outpatient Therapy, School-Based Therapy, and Care Management programs. He formerly served as the Senior Clinician for the East Region of the TASK Program, and provided clinical oversight for the program’s clinicians as well as community outreach to stakeholders, youth and their families, and the general public throughout 40 counties in North Carolina. Christian is an avid musician and vocalist – having covered R&B and soul artists from the likes of Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, and Stevie Wonder. He was never fond of cats but is now the proud “parent” of two cats that he rescued unexpectedly from grocery store parking lots.
