Safi Martin
Safi Martin is the Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services for Pinnacle Family Services (PFS), an organization providing innovative, evidence-based services to children and their families throughout North Carolina and Florida. PFS is the largest provider of Family Centered Treatment in the state and has developed a specialized therapeutic foster care model designed to serve children with complex needs.
Safi has served on several boards and commissions in North Carolina, both private and public, advocating on behalf of providers and the people we serve. She began her work with North Carolina’s public behavioral health system in 1996, providing direct services to “at risk youth” in a group home setting. It was through this work that she grasped the far-reaching impact of childhood trauma on our society and culture. She is passionate about helping influence and craft a trauma-informed, integrated public health system in North Carolina that is driven by transparent and compassionate leadership.
