About Us
The NC Providers Council was organized to promote the overall improvement of both the quantity and quality of community support services for individuals who require supports to remain in the community. This specifically includes:
1. Promoting openness and communication about the issues that are critical to the success of the services and supports we are contracted to provide to individuals who have disabilities;
2. Encouraging professional growth and training opportunities to facilitate the availability of qualified personnel necessary to provide the required services;
3. Assure that members adhere to the Council's professional Code of Ethics;
4. Supporting members through consultation and networking our abilities and resources;
5. Fostering the development of appropriate resources and services;
6. Advocating for reasonable and appropriate governmental policies, compensation, and other resources necessary to provide the supports and services requested.
Our Agenda for the year 2007 and beyond is designed to promote our overarching goals of:

- Quality
- Leadership
- Partnership
Any provider of community support services for people who have disabilities, including governmental entities, who support our goals and will abide by the organizations professional ethics standards are welcome to join.
The current membership includes providers that specialize in Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse Supports.
What about fees?
Membership fees are based on annual agency income with the desire to make membership a reasonable expense for every size of provider. For more information regarding our membership fee schedule, please download a membership application or call 919-850-4592.

1. Impact on Rules, Legislation, and Budgeting: Through active membership on all key committees at the state level and our access to the leaders of the state services and strategic affiliations with other advocacy organizations. You also have the opportunity to represent the Providers Council at key meetings , legislative initiatives, etc.
2. Communication Services: Regular and timely updates on issues that affect us via the PC Web page, The Provider Council Exchange Newsletter, Action Alerts, and Update Alerts. Our monthly Board Meetings, which are open only to members, provide a wealth of information and analysis that you may not get anywhere else.
3. Training and Staff Development: Including:
- Discounts on Training for Your Staff at Council sponsored and co-sponsored training events.
- Access to "Members Only" training and meetings.
- Discounts on Consulting for your specific need, including local contract and fee negotiations.
4. Ethics Panel: To provide answers to those difficult ethics questions for members only and to work with the provider to resolve any ethical issues with the Area Programs or other providers, and:
